- George Leigh Street (Alumni Court) formally a Victorian School for cotton weaver's children in an area locally named "little Italy" is a development of 20 high end 1,2,3 bedroom luxury apartments and duplexes some with balconies but many with high beamed ceilings and unique mezzanine floors. In the fast-developing area of Ancoats adjacent to the Northern Quarter of City Centre Manchester this Victorian building has undergone a dramatic re-modelling programme of both internal and external refurbishment which includes modern aluminium windows and doors, high spec kitchens and bathrooms that enhance the warehouse style feel of these lofty apartments. A modern three story new build addition connects with and surrounds a secure courtyard and communal space, completing a technically challenging project. Working within the confines of the City Centre and with local residents and bylaws to be taken under daily consideration the logistics of this project was paramount.
